Kathleen Gonzalez is a multipotentialite with experience in a variety of fields, from being a radio technician in the wilderness of Alaska, to managing an Art Gallery in Santa Fe, from publishing a feminist newspaper in the 90’s with a collective of 40 women, to running a cattle ranch in Northern New Mexico.

Chief Administrative Officer
Joining Children’s Clinics in 2015, Gemma Thomas has served in various leadership positions and is currently the Chief Administrative Officer. Gemma brings ten years of healthcare experience to her current position at Children’s Clinics, having worked with vulnerable populations in both direct care and administrative roles. Following completion of her bachelor’s degree in molecular and cellular biology from the University of Arizona, Gemma received her Master’s degree in social work from the Arizona State University School of Social Work with an emphasis on nonprofit administration.
A graduate of the Arizona Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (LEND) program and Greater Tucson Leadership, Gemma has a clear commitment to improving the overall health of children with complex illnesses living in the culturally diverse communities of southern Arizona. Gemma has been recognized by the Tucson Hispanic Chamber of Commerce as a 2017 40 Under 40 Honoree and by Tucson Local Media’s 2018 Women of Influence Awards. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Children’s Museum Tucson and the Association of Fundraising Professionals Southern Arizona Chapter.

Brooke Nowak is the Vice President of Development & Community Relations for TMM Family Services, Inc. She was born and raised in Tucson, AZ and attended St. Cyril’s, Salpointe and the University of Arizona. Prior to entering the nonprofit arena, Brooke worked in the corporate offices of Fox Restaurant Concepts.
Trot (Therapeutic Riding of Tucson)
Becky brings to TROT more than 20 years’ leadership experience, working with the Tucson Police Department and other organizations to advance community safety. She relocated to Tucson from El Paso, Texas, in 1996. In 2000, the Tucson Police Department named her Civilian of the Year.
She has been an active member of the board of TMM Family Services since 2008, where she has also served as executive board chair. She holds a B.S. degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Texas.
