For over eighteen years Alma Gallardo has applied her special abilities to the Spanish media business. Alma plays a key role in the development of new markets in the area of media, sales, special events & public relations. Alma’s background experience includes Radio, TV, an advertising agency, newspaper & hosting as well as executing special events. She is also the Publisher & editor-in-chief of the Arizona Bilingual Newspaper. She has received numerous honors & awards including the Hispanic Business Woman of the year in 2012-2013 by the Tucson Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, LULAC Community award in September 2013 & 2014, as well as the LULAC Presidential Citation Award in 2015. Additionally, she received the 2016 very special award by the Mexican Council Ricardo Pineda named “Flores del Desierto” for her hard work in our bilingual community & several other ones.

Created and communicated a leadership voice reflecting the Mission and Vision of the Chamber in our community. Engaged in constant educational and marketing classes, including mastermind sessions, SWOT analysis, and social media content. Built and enhanced existing relationships with government, businesses large and small, nonprofits, and other community partners to increase the chamber’s reach, status, and leadership in southern Arizona. Increased membership levels, committee engagement, number of committees, and the number of events.
Maintained high levels of event attendance for community engagement. Developed membership marketing objectives and collateral, helped clarify marketing and direction of branding and wrote public relationship messages for media. Maintains knowledge of current statistics for the Town of Marana and the business community to become a subject matter expert.

Priscilla Frisby grew up in the border town of Agua Prieta, Sonora, Mexico and Douglas, Arizona. She graduated from the University of Arizona magna cum laude and went onto study law at California Western School of Law in San Diego, California. Upon graduation from law school, Ms. Frisby returned to Arizona where she worked at the Pima County Public Defender’s Office prior to her opening her solo practice in 2010.
