ï»¿ï»¿Ruth Fowler is a CFO whose career has been spent in the healthcare industry.Â Now, as CFO of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (Childrenâ€™s), one of the largest clinical care providers for children in the country, she is helping half a million children, many of whom are not insured, receive the medical treatment they need each year.Â This saves taxpayers money ($90 million in 2009) and helps the children who need it.Â A win-win for all!Â However, the company is a non-profit organization and therein lies the challenge of running the finance function while depending on individual and corporate donors to ensure the doors remain open.
