We started the show off with Amy Pedersen and Jennifer Daniels, co-founders of the Marietta, based shapewear firm Slimpressions. According to Amy and Jennifer Slimpressions is a “flab-u-less” line of everyday shapewear designed to slim a woman’s arms, back and midriff. Slimpressions’ garments create an illusion of weight reduction boosting confidence while sculpting the top half of a woman’s body. These two moms said they came up with the idea because they needed a solution to tackle their own flaby, flappy arms. For more information or to see some amazing before and after images please go to there website www.slimpressions.com

Next up we had on Gary Valvo and Mike Carney, owners of Mr. Handyman’s 300th franchise in Peachtree City. Gary and Mike invested in the full-service home repair and maintenance franchise after realizing the demand for reliable and affordable maintenance services in the Atlanta area. They felt that as more homeowners decide to stay put during this sluggish real estate market that the demand for quiality home improvement services is greater than ever before. Gary explained that in today’s economy more and more homeowners are investing in monor repairs rather than do large scale remodelling projects or buy a new home. And with people busier than ever they just don’t have the time to do things themselves any more. So Mr Handyman helps its clients shrink their nagging to-do lists. To learn more about Mr Handyman please go to their website www.mrhandyman.com and find the franchise nearest you. Mike and Gary are in the Coweta-Fayette area.

We closed the show with good friend Dr Robert Schwerzel, president of Technology Guidance Services. Bob talked about the powerful free seminar series he is doing with Larry Warnick of PassKey Strategies. He and Larry are helping entrepreneurs position and grow their businesses through difficult times. They are offering these seminars at the Corporate Office Centers in Sandy Springs / Dunwoody and in Alpharetta. These seminars are on the third Wednesday of the month in Sandy Springs / Dunwoody and on the third Thursday of the month in Alpharetta. Each seminar features an opportunity to network and learn some valuable practical technique to grow your business. We strongly recommend attending these powerful seminars. To learn more please go to Bob’s website www.tgsproducts.com

Chi Chi Okezie who is an entrepreneur/instructor/author of SIMPLEnetworking, LLC wrapped up the show with helpful and practical tips for listeners who desire to write, publish and market their literary masterpieces.
Chi Chi Tip #1: Have a Book Signing or Two. Book signings, in retail bookstores or restaurants and business venues are excellent ways to bring awareness to an entrepreneur’s products and services. It encourages networking and community support from all angles.

Chi Chi Tip #2: Teach a Class. Entrepreneur Authors are encouraged to link up with local colleges, universities, community libraries, churches etc. and teach a class on their book. It is an exceptional way to feature and sell the book. Authors can also teach classes on related subject matter of the book.

Chi Chi Tip #3: Online and Social Networking. This is a great time to connect with businesses and individuals online or face to face. Authors should select online social networking groups which allow their members to post profiles of themselves. In the profiles, authors can showcase their book, website and direct people to preview or purchase their products/services.

Chi Chi Tip #4: Be a Radio Show Guest. What better way to make yourself and your voice known than to be a guest on a radio show! Authors can branch out to an interested and new crowd of potential clients and customers. After the show, request a podcast/tapping of the show so pass along as marketing material.
