The Association of People Supporting Employment First Arizona Chapter is a volunteer group of disability advocates that promote ideas, changes, and programs that provide more equality in employment for people living with disabilities.
Jules Hyde has been working in disability related employment for eleven years. he is currently an Employment Specialist with ASD Maverick Consulting where he specializes in assisting individuals with disabilities to find, obtain, learn and independently be successful in the job or career of their choosing. He provides one-on-one training tailored to the needs of the employee and employer.
Prior to joining Maverick Consulting, he was with a local nonprofit where he started an employment program that grew from three locations serving eight families to one that included over twenty locations serving over fifty families.
As a director of employment services, he committed to dissolving traditional employment programs to adopt new strategies driven by the Employment First philosophy. That is, competitive, integrated employment is the expectation for all adults, with or without a disability, and to prioritize employment as the primary daily activity. Employment in integrated settings in the community, working side by side, earning competitive wages and benefits, and be of the person’s choosing.
He also volunteers by serving as Vice President of the Arizona Chapter of the Association of People Supporting Employment First.

About Your Host
As the manager of Community and Public Relations, David Steinmetz uses his expertise, education, and personal experiences to “change the perception of blindness.”
Diagnosed with RP, a blinding retinal disease, at the age of 19, David uses his personal story to drive change that leads to improved employment outcomes and community integration for people who are blind or visually impaired.
Mr. Steinmetz graduated from Arizona State University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Management and Economics. Additionally, Steinmetz has continued his education by graduating from the Business Management Training (BMT) program provided by Darden Graduate School of Business, University of Virginia.
In 2008, David was the national recipient of the National Industries for the Blind Milton J. Samuelson Career Achievement award. This prestigious award recognized Mr. Steinmetz for his career achievements and community service work.
David Steinmetz is a member of the Governors’ Council on Blindness & Visual Impairments, is a Board Member at the Arizona Center for the Blind & Visually Impaired (ACBVI) and serves his community through the Chandler Lions Club.

Growing up in an environment that instilled the virtues of getting up early and putting in the effort, he fully comprehends what it takes for individuals and organizations to ascend to greatness and reach their Apex.
Ashley Bowers is a distinguished expert with over 25 years of experience in talent management, operational excellence, and organizational growth. Her career began in organizational development and talent assessments, where she devised a strategic planning process to unify organizations towards achieving peak results.

Kelly Zaragoza is a Licensed Professional Counselor turned Coach, or as her team calls her, “The Coaching Therapist.” As a therapist, she saw client after client come in with similar issues: not feeling appreciated, burned out, stressed, frustrated, and lacking confidence, just to name a few. She realized that many people were sharing similar experiences and that therapy was bringing about transformations. This led her to ask, “How can more people have access to this superpower?”



Milan Dordevic, MBA, PMP, is a certified project management expert and leader, author, speaker, and business and technology mentor for high-tech start-ups. His expertise is in complex & remote project and product management, organizational development, and change, all of which he has gained over the course of 15 years. Through dynamic leadership and vision, he is driving business and product innovation, automation, digitalization, program efficiency, and scaling agility in the organization.
For over 20 years, Amber Smith has been serving the Tucson community in a variety of roles beginning her career working for the late Senator John McCain.
Dane Vignjevic is an entrepreneur whose multifaceted career is a testament to his adaptability and drive. His journey, rooted in a first-generation immigrant family, spans from hands-on electrical work to establishing his own textile business. Currently, he shines as a Partner at Digitanity, where he brings forth innovative solutions for global team staffing and development.
Steve Zylstra serves as president and CEO of the Arizona Technology Council, a role he assumed in 2007. He is responsible for strategy, operations, finance and policy development. Zylstra is a vocal spokesman for the value technology can provide in raising social and economic standards in Arizona.
Karen Nowicki is a successful author, speaker and the creator of Deep Impact Leadership™ and SoulMarks Coaching™. She is a two-time recipient of the prestigious national Choice Award® for her book and personal development retreat. Karen was crowned the first-ever “Mompreneur of the Year” Award in 2010 for the southwestern states. She was recognized for her leadership, business acumen, and work-life balance.
Leslie Cooper Marquez is a dynamic marketing professional with over 17 years of broad-based marketing, public relations and advertising experience in both in-house and agency environments.


Sandy Smith was born and raised in Tempe, AZ and moved to Seattle, WA after high school to attend UW. She stayed in Seattle for 14 years then returned to AZ where she met her husband.

As the Chief Financial Officer, Maureen Musselman has responsibilities for the Financial Planning and Analysis, Compliance, and Controllership organizations, she is also the staff lead for the Audit and Finance and Investment Committees for the National Board of Trustees.
Chad Dean has been an executive recruiter since 1996. He currently is owner and CEO of a top-ranked national recruiting firm with a 33 year history servicing the Finance disciplines.
