Jamie Hamilton/Special Needs Schools of Gwinnett

Jamie Hamilton joined the team at Special Needs Schools of Gwinnett in April 2020, originally serving as the Director of Community & Donor Engagement before taking on the role of Executive Director & CEO in 2021.

In his role Jamie acts as the organizational leader overseeing both the school and YALLS adult day program. He leads all development, strategic partnership, and community engagement efforts, promoting their “They Will Grow 2.0” capital campaign and all other key initiatives. In his time at SNS, he’s helped grow their scholarship program nearly 20x, renovated both YALLS program buildings, grown staff wages and benefits, developed a robust donor base, and much more.

After a 15-year career in the golf and hospitality industry, Jamie joined the Greenbrier Valley Aquatic Center, a startup nonprofit located in West Virginia, in January 2019, leading a successful $6M capital campaign before relocating to Georgia and joining SNS.

When asked about his transition into the nonprofit space he often shares “I used to serve because people paid for it, I now serve because people need it.” Away from SNS Jamie is active in the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club of Sugarloaf, Gwinnett Strategic Partners, and is member of the Professional Golfers Association of America. He and his wife Ashley reside in Gwinnett County with their two Siberian Huskies Dima and Stoli.
