Chip Smith and Ruth King

Ruth King/Financially Fit Business

Ruth King is the founder of Financially Fit Business. Since 1987, Ruth and her team have been analyzing financial statements and giving business owners the tools/processes to get and stay profitable and build wealth. Her clients have grown profitably and achieved their business and personal goals. Financially Fit gives business owners and managers financial reports in as little as five minutes. Business owners enter the values printed on their profit and loss statements and balance sheets, click a link and get monthly and trending data.

Profit and Loss statements and balance sheets were probably the furthest thing from your mind when you started your business (unless you are a CPA or bookkeeper). However, understanding and taking action based on these financial statements give you the best chance to survive and grow. Financially Fit Business is a tool to:

  1. Easily and quickly discover what your financial statements are telling you each month
  2. Spot minor issues and take care of them before they become major crises
  3. Make better business decisions based on accurate financial information
  4. Grow a profitable, wealthy business

Chip Smith/Chip Smith Performance Systems

Chip Smith is the founder of Chip Smith Performance Systems (CSPS) and the Director of Sports Performance for the NFL Alumni Academy and the Atlanta Vibe professional women’s volleyball team. He has trained more professional athletes than any other coach or training facility in the world.  He and his staff have trained over 1600 NFL players to date, countless MLB, NBA, NHL, MLS, and Olympic athletes dating back over 30 years.  He has been called the “Godfather” of the sports performance training industry, and continues to train athletes on a daily basis in our Atlanta facility.

CSPS trains and manages programs for all their professional athletes. Their individual offseason and preseason training programs will prepare you for the rigors of professional sports.  You will get a custom tailored program designed specifically for your needs and goals.  Whether its speed/agility and conditioning, strength training, weight loss/weight gain, comprehensive nutrition, or return to play after injury, they can accommodate your every need.

Katrina Lucisano and John Withers

John Withers/HowMoneyWorks

The mission of How Money Works is to eradicate financial illiteracy. NOT knowing how money works can make you financially unwell – for life. They teach people how money really works – a life skill not taught in schools. The financial education plus implementing the 7 steps to becoming successful with your finances (which they call “Money Milestones”) is answering a critical need in all communities. They’re helping people eliminate debt, increase cash flow, combat inflation, and take steps toward reducing their fears, stress, and worries about money. They teach from the top- selling personal finance book since 2020 “How Money Works – Stop Being a Sucker”. It’s a fun book to read and their classes are also fun. They make a serious topic seriously enjoyable.

Katrina Lucisano/Silverton Mortgage

Founded in 1998, Silverton Mortgage is an acknowledged industry leader within the mortgage community. They’ve always believed that maintaining the entire loan process in-house keeps everyone involved: borrower, real estate agent, and Silverton Mortgage. One team, one goal. ‍Because of their collaborative culture, they are honored to continually be recognized with the industry’s leading customer satisfaction rankings and stunning growth as they continually expand their lending footprint. Success is always a team effort. At Silverton Mortgage, they credit their years of success to the trust of their clients and the hard work of the talented individuals on their team.

Amanda Pearch Marmolejo and Anne Chen

Celebrating Powerhouse Women salutes and recognizes women who are making an impact, whether it’s in business, philanthropy, public service, or elsewhere.

Anne Chen/Explore Gwinnett

Anne Chen serves as the Senior Sales Manager (Associations, International, Corporate) with Explore Gwinnett Tourism & Film, the county’s official tourism organization dedicated to strengthening Gwinnett County’s economy by marketing all areas of Gwinnett County as a destination for conventions, sporting events, meetings, and leisure travel.

Anne’s Taiwanese heritage and Mandarin fluency has allowed her to drive substantial new inbound international business to Gwinnett. Additionally, she has also created unique partnerships for Explore Gwinnett with the Georgia Department of Economic Development Tourism’s China Initiative, Partnership Gwinnett Economic Development, and the Atlanta Convention and Visitors Bureau. Explore Gwinnett has worked to educate and train hoteliers and attractions on the needs of international clients, and several of the hotels have gone through official training programs as a result, allowing them to better service to the Asian market.

Besides being a very busy working single mother of two, Anne serves on multiple boards and committees. Current boards include Leadership Gwinnett’s Alumni Committee, the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Committee for Meeting Planners International Georgia Chapter, and the PR Committee for Rotary Club of Sugarloaf. She is very passionate about serving and giving back to the community, a graduate of the 2016-2017 Leadership Gwinnett class, and a graduate of 2022 Regional Leadership Institute with the Atlanta Regional Commission. Anne was recognized as a member of Connect Association magazine’s “40 Under 40” in 2018, defined as “influencers and innovators helping to head the industry by thinking outside the box, acquiring new skillsets and forging unconventional paths to success.” In 2017 and 2019, she was recognized by the Georgia Asian Times as one of Georgia’s 25 Most Influential Asians in Georgia, “recognizing contributions and dedication in their roles within the community.”

Anne works closely with several organizations to assist various programs, committees, and panels for Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion. She has been very proactive with educating the various organizations on Asian American Heritage programs and helping create awareness on Asian Hate, stigma, biases, and Asian-American history.

Another passion of hers is food insecurity for lower-income families and the homeless population. One of the aftereffects of COVID in the community is the rise in homelessness for women with small children. The impact of this is evident in the schools, most of which offer summer meals, coat, and food pantries, as well as subsidized breakfast and lunches. Anne works closely with nonprofits throughout Metro Atlanta to help address these issues and to organize food drives and volunteer efforts with Rotary, Nothing but the Truth Ministries, Gwinnett County Schools, Explore Gwinnett, Buford Co-op, The Rest Gwinnett, and Laotian-American Society. Her passion is to unify our communities and help give back to see us thrive as one.
