Tom Sheldon & Dr. David Burton

The sounds of the 2026 Magnolia Blossom Festival at the Jackson County Agriculture Facility.

Held at the Jackson County Agriculture Facility, the 2026 Magnolia Blossom Festival captured the spirit of small-town springtime in full bloom. Families gathered under sunny blue skies to enjoy a day filled with local vendors, handmade crafts and community connection. The scent of fresh food was in the air as children laughed and raced across open fields, especially during the much-anticipated egg hunt where thousands of colorful eggs sparked excitement and “friendly” competition.

Beyond the festivities, the event reflected the heart of Jackson County; neighbors coming together to support local businesses and celebrate the changing season. Interactive activities created a welcoming atmosphere for all ages, blending tradition with simple joy. Whether browsing artisan booths, sharing a meal or watching children experience the magic of spring; the festival gave a reminder of the importance of community and togetherness. It’s was more than just a day of fun; mor of a celebration of renewal, connection and the enduring charm of local traditions.

Get Stemulated’s mission is to empower youth through STEM. The organization envisions a future in which young leaders believe they can change their world through science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. It is a national, evolving organization that offers year-round, out-of-school STEM programming for students in grades 3–12 across Georgia, South Carolina, Texas, Louisiana, and other locations throughout the country.

Founded in 2017, Get Stemulated is one of the more diverse programs dedicated to empowering participants who might not otherwise have exposure to STEM industries. Its comprehensive programs are designed to engage students, build confidence, and introduce STEM career pathways to young people who have been historically marginalized. This is achieved through meaningful, hands-on programming offered via after-school initiatives, summer camps, and community events.

The organization recognizes that the world’s greatest challenges require new STEM ideas and perspectives. However, many underrepresented minorities—who make up a significant portion of potential innovators—are often discouraged from pursuing these fields. Get Stemulated seeks to change this by encouraging participants to generate new ideas and solutions that can benefit society as a whole.

Ashley & Jacqui Derrick

Ashley Derrick & Jacqui Derrick/Workright, LLC

The Drug Lady is an important team member for any business wishing to create or maintain a Drug Free Workplace. Our “Drug Lady” is powered by two  amazing ladies- a mother-daughter team who have been working together for almost 30 years. Jacqui Derrick developed the original Drugs Don’t Work program in Georgia back in 1994 shortly after the Drug Free Workplace Act was signed into law. Since then, she’s helped hundreds of business owners across the southeast implement and maintain their Drug Free Workplace programs. You can ask anyone- she’s the Original Drug Lady. In 2003 she recognized the need for a dedicated drug testing facility in the Atlanta area to serve employers. We’ve been managing that facility ever since. Her daughter, Ashley, stood no chance. Ashley started helping Jacqui with office work and creating  training programs for younger audiences as a teenager. The two became a staple in the industry, working together to help their clients navigate difficult situations, interpret results, assisting with policy creation and management, and educating teams on how drugs can affect a person as well as their livelihood and those around them. If you’ve got a question, chances are they’ve seen it and have the answer. And if you’ve got a story to tell, even better!

A woman owned and operated small business located in the Atlanta Metro Area specializing in creating and managing Drug-Free Workplace programs for employers. Started in 1999, Workright opened their own testing facility in 2003. They strive to provide their clients with a one stop shop for all their substance abuse program questions and concerns.

Communication, education and safety above all!
