Arol Wolford
Arol Wolford is the founder of Manufacturers Survey Associates and Construction Market Data. He is the former president/CEO of the CMD Group of companies including Associated Construction Magazines, Buildcore Canadian Product Source, Canadata, CMD Building Reports (all Canada, United States, and Mexico); R.S. Means Costing Company; Byggfakta of Scandinavia; and Cordell Construction Information Services of Australia. Arol was a early Board Member and Investor in Revit. When Revit was sold to Autodesk in 2003 Arol started SmartBIM to create Revit Objects and a Quantity Survey System connected to R.S. Means for costing with Revit. When naming Wolford an honorary member of The American Institute of Architects in 1997, the AIA citation stated “his efforts go beyond making information more usable and valuable for architects….Wolford has been successful in bringing positive recognition to the architectural profession through his highly effective efforts to design, develop, and grow businesses that relate directly to, and support the work of design professionals and the construction process.”
Arol started VIMtrek to take BIM to VIM (Visual Information Modeling) and he serves as VIMtrek’s President.
