An Atlanta native, Stacie Hamilton is a Social Worker in the Cardiovascular section of Emory University Hospital – Midtown. She received a degree in Social Work from the University of Georgia in 1994, and is only three months from completing her Masters in Social Work at Georgia State University. When she’s not trying to arrange haircuts for her patients, Stacie provides a wealth of other resources for them, and advises families to be prepared as loved ones age. She suggests that support structures be identified, and that legal documentation, such as living wills and powers of attorney be put in place. That way, when the time comes, the family is not operating in “panic” mode. Stacie can be reached through Emory’s Social Services department at (404) 686-8137, or visit them on the web at www.emoryhealthcare.org.
