Ty McBride is the founder of Preservan Wood Rot Repair. He has a background deeply rooted in the home-building industry, having grown up in it.
His journey began in 2001 when he started clearing home-building sites. He gradually took on various roles within the family business over the next 14 years. However, it was a transformative experience in 2014 when Ty undertook the restoration of a historic home in Oklahoma City’s Mesta Park.
This project exposed him to the intricacies of window restoration and the application of epoxy. Over the following two years, Ty dedicated himself to extensive research, testing, and learning from preservation experts nationwide. This newfound knowledge led him to depart from the family building business.
In January 2016, he and his wife, April, launched Wood Window Rescue. The venture quickly gained traction, as there was a noticeable demand for the repair of old windows throughout Oklahoma City.
Wood Window Rescue’s mission was clear: “We Save the Future by Preserving the Past,” a commitment that has been upheld since its inception.
