Dr. Alexis Williams/Candidate for Gwinnett School Board District 4
Dr. Alexis Williams is one of 11 children, a wife, and the mother of six. She is a dedicated, conscientious, and proven community leader and advisor; an attorney; a business owner; a Pastor’s wife; and an advocate for all children. Dr. Williams received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Stony Brook University in New York, and her Juris Doctorate from Oak Brook College of Law and Government in California.
Dr. Williams has been active in the community for over 20 years and has served the Gwinnett County Public School system in many capacities, partnering with parents and educational stakeholders to enhance the educational experiences and outcomes for students. Her involvement ranges from serving as the Vice President of the Parent Teacher Student Association, on the board of the Youth Leadership Development program, to volunteering as “class mom”, lacrosse coach, and local school council advisor.
Dr. Williams is a people person who enjoys interacting, connecting, and advocating for the voiceless. She brings a unique perspective to the Gwinnett County School Board, and is committed to “keeping the main thing, the main thing – the needs of our children!”
