He ran track like plenty of other kids, but he pushed himself to break his high school’s mile record. He got the usual entry-level job right of college, but then he changed the sales process, earned millions of dollars for the company, and became CEO by the time he was 25.
These days, Dan is partner in a private equity technology accelerator and a former technology CEO. He is an early-early-early adopter of game-changing technology. He blogs regularly on his motivational selling blog Edge of Explosion. He is husband to a cute gal named Sara and father to two energetic boys. He’s just an ordinary dude who happens to have an outrageous vision. And he wants to change the world…
So read the blog, check out his resources, send him an email. Whatever you do, don’t just sit on the sidelines!â€
Stefany Sanders was a digital native before the term was even coined, which makes her eminently qualified to serve as our Director of Social Media. She is much in demand as a key strategist for our client and sales teams and as the in-house expert who keeps us educated on new developments on the social media and digital communications frontier.
She was Director of Communications for the Georgia Tech College of Computing for five years, positioning the institution to compete internationally. She developed an award-winning branding campaign that helped land the school’s graduate program a “top 10†rating from U.S. News and World Report and reversed dramatically shrinking computer science enrollments after the “dot bomb†years. Stefany has a passion for the measureable, data-supported nature of the digital communications realm but has won close to 20 career and industry awards for both her traditional and new media strategies. It’s no wonder that Georgia Tech named Stefany “Communicator of the Year†in 2010.
Her prior work includes time spent as the Senior Communications Officer for the Georgia Centers for Advanced Telecommunications Technology and time working as an interactive consultant and producer with a multi-national public relations firm.
A native of Annapolis, Maryland, Stefany returned to D.C. just before 9/11 to strategize and implement online communications for national political organizations and advocacy groups. The experience was pivotal on many levels, not the least of which was her decision to swap life inside the Capital Beltway permanently for life inside Atlanta’s perimeter.
Stefany is what’s known around here as a “Double Dawg,†since she earned both her bachelor of arts in journalism and her master of mass communications degrees from The University of Georgia’s Grady School. A scuba diver, she enjoys as-frequent-as-possible trips to the Caribbean to swim with the sharks. While on land, she is into books, running and recipe experimentation in Morningside, where she lives with her husband, Robert, and dog, Chompsky. Follow her on Twitter @StefanySays!
In a prestigious career that spans almost three decades, Caroline Duffy has handled programs from crisis communications to consumer introductions to corporate speech writing and beyond. A founding partner of Jackson Spalding and a member of our Management Team, she has been a leader for some of the firm’s largest clients, including Delta Air Lines, Publix Super Markets and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. She was also the creative maestro who managed Ashley Smith, the young mother who came to fame after accused killer Brian Nichols took her hostage following the Atlanta courthouse shootings.
Her work earned public relations’ highest honor – the Public Relations Society of America Silver Anvil – for The Atlanta Dream Team which supported Atlanta’s bid for the 1996 Olympic Games. She also has been recognized with national awards from Inside PR magazine and Women in Communications Inc., and by the Florida and Georgia chapters of the PRSA. Today she applies this diverse experience in her role as Marketing Director.
Caroline holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Auburn University, with a major in Public Relations-Journalism and minors in French and Speech Communications. She has served two terms on the board of trustees at St. Martin’s Episcopal School and Sophia Academy and has chaired the PR Advisory Board for Auburn’s Department of Communication and Journalism. In addition, she serves on the board of the Marist Arts Guild, on the marketing advisory board for Imagine It!, the Children’s Museum of Atlanta, and co-leads a small group ministry at her church.
Caroline enjoys combing through antiques shops, and in “another life†was an actress in musical theatre. One of her greatest memories is singing her way across Poland before the fall of The Iron Curtain. These days, she and husband Jake spend much of their free time backstage assisting in the dramatic endeavors of their two sons.
