Jennifer Adams M.Ed., CCC-SLP
As a native of Michigan, Jennifer currently lives in Cobb County with her husband and their two son’s. She has a Bachelors degree in Audiology and Speech Sciences from Michigan State University, and a Masters of Education in Speech Language Pathology from the University of Virginia. She is a member of the American Speech Language Hearing Association and is certified in the specialization of Accent Reduction through the Institute of Language and Phonology in San Francisco, CA. In addition, Jennifer is certified to practice Speech Language Pathology in the state of Georgia. Her experience in the field includes employment in a private Speech Therapy Clinic in Atlanta, and as a Speech Pathologist in the Georgia Public Schools. Currently, Jennifer is conducting on and off site individual and small group programs for several Atlanta area professionals. She is committed to serving each client with the highest level of service, integrity, and professionalism. Jennifer has used her years of accent reduction experience to co-author “Say Goodbye to your Southern Accent,” published in May 2009. Outside of the office, Jennifer enjoys traveling, skiing, and reading about elements of interior design. She is an active participant in both Habitat for Humanity, and the Metro Atlanta Police Emerald Society.
Johanna Chapman M.Ed., CCC-SLP
Johanna Chapman is originally from a small town in Connecticut, although she currently resides in Marietta, Georgia with her husband and their 3 children. She earned her Bachelors degree in Speech Language Pathology from the University of North Carolina: Greensboro. She met Jennifer while working towards her Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology at the University of Virginia. Johanna is a member of the American Speech Language and Hearing Association and is certified to practice Speech Language Pathology in the state of Georgia. Her experience in the field includes employment in a private Speech Therapy clinic in Charlotte, NC, Instructor at Kennesaw State University, and Supervising Speech Pathologist in the Georgia public school system. She also received certification in the area of Accent Reduction through the Institute of Language and Phonology in San Francisco, CA. Johanna brings a unique flair to her classrooms with her energy, positive attitude, and dedication to helping members of the international community. Johanna’s passion for working with the Southern dialect is evident in “Say Goodbye to your Southern Accent”. Published in May 2009, Chapman used her experience working with dialect speakers to create a comprehensive program that provides outstanding results. Personal hobbies include reading, traveling, and horseback riding.
