Legacy Leaders Radio featured guest host Karon Cook on today’s show. Karon is a multi-platform sports journalist and television/film producer living in the Atlanta area. She is taking over Legacy Leaders Radio this week while Jack Perry, Jr. is on the road. Ms. Cook has traveled the World, most recently covering the Steelers-vs -Vikings game at Wembley Stadium in London. She contributes video content to three websites: Tailgate News, Leatherheads of the Gridiron, and On Her Game.
Karon welcomes two guests on the show that are passionate about helping those who are afflicted with neurological diseases or injuries. Karen Duffy, the ringmaster for a busy family, lends her time and expertise in marketing to help cure ALS, more commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. She is involved with two events each year to raise money for the cause, with the FIESTA 5k/15k run, and the Terance Mathis Golf Classic.
Steve King’s passion is to help all neurological patients, including those dealing with Lou Gehrig’s disease (ALS), Huntington’s disease, muscular dystrophy, multiple sclerosis, and patients who have experienced a cerebrovascular accident (CVA) stroke recovery, just to name a few. Steve’s latest project is to help build the Chelsey Park Health and Rehabilitation Center in Dahlonega, GA. Chelsey Park will be a state-of-the-art facility that will provide top-quality care for its guests.
