Sherry & Jeff Grant/iServe Ministries
iServe Ministries’ mission is to end generational poverty in our community. Through two main programs they give away over 1 million pounds of food every year. Their two programs are “Bags of Love” and “Feeding Northeast Georgia.” Bags of Love feed up to 400 families every weekend that school is in session. Their mobile food pantries, Feeding Northeast Georgia, feeds 300+ families three times a month in different locations. These pantries give each family about 100 pounds of groceries to help supplement their needs.
Ending generational poverty in the community is also a mission of iServe Ministries. Serving by meeting practical needs and teaching life skills
They believe ending generational poverty takes a multifaceted approach; one of the ways to make an impact is through a transitional housing program in Jackson county. The transitional housing program will serve homeless families with a vision to train, equip and encourage them to become healthy families. Their vision includes a tiny home village and community center where families can be mentored, take classes, learn how to manage their money and other valuable life skills.
iServe Ministries is always looking for volunteers to teach classes, mentor families and individuals and help children with homework. Volunteers to teach life skills like cooking, gardening and sewing, and help maintain the property.
