The Piedmont Regional Library System’s Parent Partner initiative supports parents in fostering early literacy and learning at home. The program provides parents with educational resources, videos and hands-on activities designed to enhance children’s reading skills and school readiness. Through curated book selections, interactive learning kits and guidance from library staff; the initiative empowers families to create a strong foundation for lifelong learning. Parent Partner also encourages community engagement by connecting parents with local services and fellow parents. By making literacy accessible and engaging, the program helps bridge the gap between home and early education in Northeast Georgia.

Tom Sheldon is a lifelong Georgian and longtime businessman in the Northeast Georgia area.

With a strong history in the business networking world; Tom has served as Chairman, President and Vice-President in multiple networking organizations.
