Diversity and Inclusion Mixed with People and Profit Makes for the Best Combination E15
This was such a great show with Mary Henry and Ron Price, joining Jeremy Neis and our guest host Debbie Accomazzo.
The discussion flowed well between both guests and each found that their respective practices, values, ethics and business consciousness aligned.
The conversation returned numerous times to the “Great Resignation” or “Great Reshuffling” as Ron coined it – as in, the impact to industry and hiring can be seen as a positive reawakening of sorts, for both employee and employer.
The critical nature of DEIJ – Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Justice – initiatives was a topic that flowed throughout the conversation, and Mary’s HR member organizations have been ahead of the curve in addressing such practices and policies for a number of years.
In Mary’s bio, she references “adding bottom-line value to organizations through People, Process and Profit,” and they acknowledged the order that she listed those in – starting with “People,” … the foundation of any successful organization.
They also discussed the likelihood of executives at the C-suite level being open and willing to move forward and lean into the momentum around a more conscious employee, vendor and customer. Ron stated that anyone “open to growth” likely is also open to these concepts.
This is a great podcast to listen to if you are searching for conversations supporting growing company culture through improving diversity, equity, inclusion and justice. If you agree that people and profit should be looked at on the same playing field, then you should listen up to these folks that agree. Our guest host Debbie jumped into the conversation gracefully and we look forward to shows similar to this one!
