A.D. ADAMS is a Phoenix-based, self-employed, professional musician. Whether in recording studios (on both sides of the control room glass), on stages all over the world, or teaching in his private studio, creating quality original music, delivering top-notch live performances, and providing guidance, and mentorship in the musical education of his students is the primary goal of this highly regarded professional.
Starting his professional drumming career at age 14, A.D. Adams has, so far, clocked in over 45 years in the unpredictable, trendy, and ever- changing business of music.

A.D. also worked as stage manager/ house sound engineer at Washington, DC’s world famous live entertainment concert club, The Bayou, where world-class touring acts were performing 7 nights a week. Some the acts A.D. worked with there are: Iggy Pop, Charlie Watts, Todd Rundgren, The Neville Brothers, The Ramones, The Band, Graham Chapman (Monty Python) ….the list is endless!
A.D currently tours and records with the son of legendary swing/jazz artist Louis Prima in his band LOUIS PRIMA, JR & THE WITNESSES. He also currently tours and records with rock legend PAUL GURVITZ (Baker-Gurvitz Army, Spooky Tooth, Gun, Three Man Army), and his new project, THE NEW ARMY.
A.D., along with co-host Ryan McKay, hosts a music podcast (THE SHABBY ROAD RECORD SHOW) that can be picked up on iHeartRadio, iTunes, and all other podcast “catchers’. He has also been teaching drum lessons from his private studio, for over 26 years.
