The book, “CALL HIM MAC–Ernest W. McFarland–The Arizona Years” is about a young man who came to Arizona in 1919 and lived a life in public service, as a lawyer, prosecutor, US Senator, Majority Leader of the US Senate, Governor of Arizona and Chief Justice of the Arizona Supreme Court. His unparalleled political success was fermented during his early years in Florence Arizona.

Gary L Stuart is a lawyer, law professor and author. Over the years, he’s published a dozen law review articles, and hundreds of op-ed pieces, essays, magazine articles, short stories, CLE booklets, and twelve books, including: “The Ethical Trial Lawyer,” State Bar of Arizona, 1994; “Litigation Ethics,” Lexis-Nexis Publishing, 1998; “The Gallup 14,” a novel, University of New Mexico Press, 2000; “Miranda —The Story of America’s Right to Remain Silent,” University of Arizona Press, 2004; and “AIM For The Mayor,” a novel, Xlibris Press, 2008; “Innocent Until Interrogated—The Story of The Buddhist Temple Massacre and the Tucson Four,” University of Arizona Press, 2010; Ten Shoes Up, a novel, Gleason &Wall Publishing, 2015, The Valles Caldera, a novel, Gleason & Wall Publishing, 2015; CALL HIM MAC – Ernest W. McFarland–The Arizona Years.

There will be a reception and book signing next Thursday, Oct. 25, in Downtown Phoenix. I’ve attached a graphic and the following gives you more info. The new venue is gorgeous and we’ll be having appetizers and a wine/beer bar – free to the public, and jazz from the era.  J People will be able to meet members of the family and other dignitaries. Dr. Lattie Coor, former President of ASU, will be introducing Gary.
