Sarah Farmer owns Trauma Integration Coaching and provides one-on-one trauma-specific coaching to help clients release the mental and physical effects of trauma and move forward in life without the pain and burden associated with trauma memories. Her work incorporates several evidence-based approaches to trauma healing and can be used alongside traditional therapy.
Sarah has been working in the field of trauma-informed care for the past 20 years. In addition to being a certified Trauma Integration Practitioner, she creates trauma education trainings and guidance documents used nationally by behavioral health clinicians, juvenile justice settings, substance abuse treatment facilities, health centers, homeless services providers, and more.
Her work is used to train behavioral health professionals, direct care givers, peer mentors, and survivors about trauma, its effects, and methods for recovery.
She is also the parent of an adopted special needs daughter with complex trauma. She has used this experience to help other adoptive parents and is Vice President of CARES Meadow, which is finding new approaches to help adopted children with trauma histories find healing.
