Whalen Voices made its début in Cedar Rapids, Iowa over two decades ago as Personal JAZ, a seminar and presentation coaching firm. Founder Jan M. Whalen, MASL delivered powerful, intriguing workshops and seminars to a multitude of organizations— from corporations like General Mills, Rockwell International and AT&T to local Boys and Girls Clubs, United Way volunteers and church leadership groups.
Jan Whalen is an award-winning author, speaker and coach who guides individuals in telling their story whether it be for speaking, writing or publishing. Whalen Voices, LLC acts as a catalyst for speakers and writers to find their unique Voice–in speaking formally, socially, in business settings; or writing for publication or simply legacy writing for family.
Over the last 25 years, Jan has coached hundreds of speakers—including CEO’s, politicians, engineers and sales people. So to capitalize on this experience and expertise 
after moving to the Phoenix area, she wrote the book Rock Solid Confidence: Presenting Yourself with Assurance, Poise and Power, which was chosen as the 2012 Global Ebook Award winner in the category of Communications. Her next publications were: Character Safari: Remember and Write the Stories of Your Life, My Trust Journal and You are the Perfect Age: Celebrate Your Life .
Jan guides individuals in telling their story–in speaking formally, socially, in business settings; or writing for publication or simply legacy writing for family with a new tool “The Perfect Age© Story Card.” She also continues to speak at seminars, conferences, corporations and women’s groups.
