What makes Jean’s portraiture unique is her specialty in a boutique-style portrait experience complete with design consultations, wardrobe styling, professional in- studio hair and makeup, fully guided photoshoot, and gorgeous prints, enlargements, custom framing, and folio box collections for her clients to choose from. She offers portraiture from everything to headshots and branding to her own unique style of tasteful and safe boudoir called “Intimates.” She aims to take care of her clients every step of the way in this sometimes uncertain experience, in a safe and positive setting.
Jean Laninga Portraits is the creation of photographer, seamstress, and all things fashion and beauty for the real women. As a professional photographer since 2008, though a pragmatist at heart, armed with her education in Clothing Design and Construction and theater costume design and her passion for empowering the authentic woman, Jean Laninga opened her own private boutique portrait studio in Uptown Phoenix. Though she works with all people and all ages, she most enjoys celebrating and pampering the mature woman with a transformative experience where she looks and feels beautiful, and leaves with beloved heirloom quality portraits for herself and generations to come.
