About Kristin:
Kristin Slice is committed to creating quantifiable impact in organizations through effective proven communication strategies and training programs.
Her education includes undergraduate degrees in human communication and political science from Arizona State University and a Masters in Organizational Communication from Texas A&M University with an emphasis in Non-Profit Organizations and Gender. She has received certifications as a Social Media Strategist, a Business Counselor with the Association of Small Business Development Center, a facilitator with the Kaufman Foundation and an Import and Export Counselor with the SBA.
Kristin started her career in mission based organizations and community organizing while still in college helping found the first resource center for violence prevention and healthy relationships on ASU campus.. Soon after graduating with her Master Degree from Texas A&M, she launched her first business with her business partner Nancy Sanders, the highly celebrated Three Dog Marketing. Shortly after launching Three Dog Marketing, Nancy and Kristin were recruited by the Maricopa Small Business Development Center to help business owner utilize marketing and sales strategies to create new jobs and capital. Working at both Three Dog Marketing and the Maricopa SBDC, Kristin began to carve a unique niche working with women business owners and combining strategic communication with economic development.
Kristin Slice has supported women business owner both as clients and by serving as an advocate for women business owners as a board member with the National Association of Women Business Owners. She founded Empowered Lab Communications L.L.C., Empowered Lab Communications creates innovative training programs and consulting practices to help organizations that support women business owners create a greater impact based on innovate new approaches and globally researched best practices.
Currently, she is a business analysts, with the Maricopa Small Business Development Center, where she helps small business grow and create economic impact in local economies. She also is responsible for launching Empowered PhXX, an innovative community collaborative dedicated to strengthening the future of Phoenix through 50/50 in entrepreneurship.
