Jen is the owner of Barx Parx, an indoor dog park in Las Vegas. In five years, her team has grown from 12 to 47 dedicated staff who are passionate about providing a five-star service for dogs and pet parents. Additionally, Barx Parx has won several Best of Las Vegas awards and was named in Nevada Top Workplaces 2023. Working alongside her happy, dedicated staff, Jen reveals what every entrepreneur needs to know about the team player’s playbook.

Jen Freet has always been a dog lover. She grew up with many family dogs throughout her childhood: Golden Retrievers, a Labrador and a Border Collie mix.
As an adult, she first rescued a Pitbull and then rescued a Heinz 57 mix from the local shelter and most recently a tripod rescued from the streets of Mexico.
No matter the size or breed, Jen falls in love with every single dog she meets. She loves their happy souls, curiosity for adventure, ability to spread joy, and the fact that they have such a natural, pure, unconditional love of life and those they get to spend it with.
She has specialized certification in:
– dog first aid and CPR
– different breeds and canine behavior
– dog communication
– the dynamics of dog play and interaction
– basic dog training skills and theory using positive methods
– fear and aggression in dogs: identifying and solving conditioned fears
– curing canine anxiety
– and many more
Jen truly enjoys giving back to the community, volunteering her time at local rescues and shelters, and helping others.
She earned her bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Purdue University. After years of working in corporate America, she combined her degree and her passion to create her lifelong dream: Barx Parx.
