Harvest Compassion Centers with Nicolee Thompson and Heidi Dwigun and Lauryn Wingate
Mitchell Swaback Charities, Inc. (AZ) is a 15-year-old, volunteer-based 501 c3 nonprofit that fully funds and operates Harvest Compassion Centers. Harvest Compassion Center’s mission is to provide food and clothing in a hope-filled environment to the underserved in the Valley. With each bag of free groceries and clothing items, HCC empowers and encourages families by improving their overall health and enhancing their future. 
Harvest Compassion Centers are innovation one-stop shopping experiences complete with real shopping carts and an upscale clothing boutique. Since opening the doors of the first Harvest Compassion Center in North Phoenix, HCC has fed, clothed, and served over 150,000 individuals!
Nicolee Thompson is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of Harvest Compassion Centers, which was founded in 2011. Fifteen years ago, Nicolee and her family founded the 501©3 Mitchell Swaback Charities, Inc. in memory of the sudden loss of her brother Mitchell in a drowning accident.
In 2011 Harvest Compassion Centers were opened as MSC’s response to the US recession; with a motive to serve our local neighbors in need with life’s necessities: food, hygiene, baby and clothing items. Today, MSC fully funds and operates two HCC locations in North Phoenix and Maryvale and launched a sister HCC location in Chandler in 2016.
Before MSC/HCC were created, Nicolee graduated from University of South Carolina with a Bachelor’s in Teaching and Masters of Liberal Arts English. Nicolee’s love for sports including volleyball also led her to be a NCAA Collegiate coach in the years prior to her brother’s passing.
