Body Politik is a thoughtfully curated studio featuring two incredible rooms: one for strength-based, core-focused Lagree classes on the Megaformer machine and a Versa Climber studio, which is a cardio class that allows you to climb to your favorite beats on the vertical climber under a state-of-the-art light show. 
Both methods offer high-intensity but low-impact, full-body workouts. Lagree classes are 50 minutes and Versa Climber are 30 minutes.
Lagree classes are currently available for sign-up 7 days a week, classes starting Saturday November 12, with the Versa Climber studio side opening in January, just in time for the new year.
Elia Covino’s love of group fitness classes began at age 15, but teaching or running a fitness business was never in the plan, at least in the beginning of her career.
Elia studied pre-law at University of Miami and completed a law degree at Florida International University and is a licensed attorney in both Florida and Illinois. She also worked in high-end, luxury hotels for over 15 years in both South Beach, Miami and downtown Chicago.
Over 7 years ago, Elia took her first Lagree class and was instantly hooked. Within months of being a Lagree client, Elia became certified to teach and quickly became a highly sought-after instructor in Chicago in both Lagree and eventually cycling.
Obsessed with the method, Elia would seek Lagree classes all over the country, traveling to cities that offered them, studying the method, the instructors and studios. It was during this unintentional ‘market research’ where the idea of starting a fitness business blossomed.
Fast-forward to 2022, Elia relocated to Scottsdale to join her family and bring both Lagree and Versa Climber fitness to the Valley. Body Politik is getting ready to open its doors to the community, blending the best of the fitness and hospitality industries, offering an experience and workout that are unmatched.
