BRX Pro Tip: Why Do People Listen Transcript
Stone Payton: [00:00:01] And we are back with BRX Pro Tips. Lee Kantor and Stone Payton here with you. Lee, why do people listen to these shows? Is it the guest? Is it the topics? Is it the show? Is it because of the Business RadioX brand? Why are they listening?
Lee Kantor: [00:00:17] People listen because they’re hungry for this type of information. They need this kind of good, the bad, the ugly about the industry that they’re in. They need to know what’s really happening out of the horse’s mouth. not some kind of slick produced brochure. They want to know, through an authentic conversation, what is really happening in this company, what makes them special and different. Does this person had passion? They’re kind of vetting the person.
Lee Kantor: [00:00:49] So, some people are looking — say, they’re looking for a vendor, and they want to hear the guest talk about their business. And based on that conversation, they’re going to decide, “You know what? That’s something I can do business with or not.” So, some people are listening to vet potential vendors. There’s other people who are listening for the thought leadership. “I want to learn more about that industry. I’m thinking about getting involved in that industry. Let me see what kind of get the lay of the land of that.” And then, other people are listening because they enjoy just the conversation.
Stone Payton: [00:01:16] And I think a lot of people, the reason they initially listen, if it’s their first time, is because someone in their extended network has appeared as a guest and let them know that they were on the show, don’t you?
Lee Kantor: [00:01:29] Yeah, that’s where it starts.
