The Pioneer's Path

Tim O’Connor is an EOS® Implementer and the Growth Architect for the Terraform Group. He has been a business transformation champion for some of the most iconic and well-known brands in the world spanning golf, entertainment, motorsports, apparel, and technology.

Tim was a PGA Professional and Master Golf Instructor for the Arnold Palmer Golf Academy before he moved to Silicon Valley in 1999 where he built a sales division with a portfolio of Fortune 500 clients. After moving back to Atlanta, he and his wife started a company of their own where they managed to turn a $2,500 loan into over $4MM in retail sales worldwide.

Eventually, Tim left the family business to lead sales and marketing for a Fortune 500 company where sales grew from $240MM to $260MM in 18 months. Despite those results, he realized his true calling was to make a difference in the lives of entrepreneurs.

That’s when he learned about EOS, the Entrepreneurial Operating System®, and immediately saw how it gets privately-held companies Vision, Traction, and Healthy. Tim has since made it his mission to share this life changing system with as many entrepreneurs as possible as an Atlanta EOS Implementer.

Tim is an enthusiastic supporter of Clearwater Academy, a school for children that learn differently located in Peachtree City, GA.

Connect with Tim on Twitter, and follow Terraform Group on LinkedIn and Facebook.

The Pioneer’s Path Business Radio Show was created to tell the stories of Visionaries and the companies they lead. Our goal is to help established Visionaries inspire and encourage the next generation of professionals who are naturally wired to “think differently”, and who could benefit the most from hearing the stories of accomplished people who are just like them…only further down the road.

The term “Visionary” has become overused and confusing in the world of business. However, we believe that the definition of a Visionary is quite clear. Your unique ability allows you to serve your organization by seeing what is down the road, and positioning your team for maximum results based on what you see.

We also believe that if you are a Visionary, you were born with a very special set of traits and tendencies that probably took you some time to focus for the greater good of an organization. That’s the story we want to share…your Pioneer’s Path.

As a visionary, your skills were either developed over time through trial and error, you had the right position within an organization that encouraged Visionary thinking, or you had great mentors along your journey. Regardless of the path, your story is unique and special, and there are younger versions of yourself working in organizations who need your encouragement.

If you are a visionary, or know one that you think has a great story to share, book a 15 minute appointment with one of our hosts to connect with us. If your story aligns with a future episode we are planning, then we’d love to host you in our Atlanta studio.

In 2017, Stacy Robello, became one of the new owners at Home Instead Senior Care of Pensacola.  She was a founding employee of the franchise in 1999 until late 2001. After receiving her BA in Elementary Education from the University of West Florida, she left to pursue her career as an educator in one of Florida’s top ranked systems; Santa Rosa County School District. Kolleen Edwards Chesley

Kolleen Edwards Chesley has 25 years of experience in the financial services industry and spent the majority of her career as a financial advisor. In that role, Kolleen was responsible for finding her own clients and quickly learned the value of networking, networking, and even more networking. It was in 2004 and during her sales career that she, along with two other professional business women met for lunch with the purpose of helping to motivate each other after Hurricane Ivan had blown through our area and changed not only the physical landscape of the area, but also impacted the business landscape as well. Out of that lunch was born what is now a thriving not-for-profit organization for business women.

Kolleen currently serves full-time as the Founding Director of what was originally called Women’s Business Lunch and is now known as Powerful Women of the Gulf Coast. The organization advocates a culture of confidence building, lifelong learning, collaboration, empowering others and a spirit of charitable giving.

The mission of Powerful Women of the Gulf Coast is to promote, advance and improve women in business and the organization accomplishes these in a number of different ways.

  • Monthly networking meetings in Pensacola and Gulf Breeze. These are open to all women and are free to attend. We run a structured meeting with open networking, an educational segment, a sponsor presentation, an opportunity to hear about the businesses of all attendees, and a whole lot of fun. We frequently hear from attendees that these meeting are chock full of value and a great way to build new relationships to help support their businesses. The Pensacola meetings include lunch paid for by our sponsors.
  • Powerful Women of the Gulf Coast Magazine. We have produced 4 editions of this print magazine. Each edition features interviewees of local successful leaders in business who share their honest thoughts on leadership, success, obstacles, and inspiration as it relates to women in business. We also include other articles on leadership, networking, and other skill development. It is geared for anyone in business or looking for business motivation and tips. Our goal is for this to be a quarterly publication, however the magazine is currently on hold as we explore graphic designers. Our latest edition can still be found on our website.
  • Annual Pursue Your Passion Women’s conference. To help celebrate National Business Women’s Week, we hold a full day conference during the third week of October along with several other events leading up to the conference. We feature a national keynote speaker, several local successful leaders in business, along with Speed Networking, an Experience Hall, structured and unstructured networking exercises and plenty of laughter, relationship building and excitement. Our attendees are not only motivated by the conference but they leave with tangible tips they can take back and implement in their businesses to lead them to success. For 2018, our conference will be held on Wednesday, October 17th and Thursday, October 18th, 2018 at Sanders Beach.
  • Power Up Challenge is a 12 week educational series where we hold classes once a week for two hours. Classes focused around four main areas of business: Networking, Marketing, Business Efficiency, and Sales Skills. Open to men and women and all classmates receive the full audio recording of each class along with class notes, expanded notes, and extra resources. Remote classes also available. Classes are affordable and attendees are elated with the amount and quality of the information that is shared.
  • Women in Leadership radio podcast show – sponsored by Pensacola Business Radio X. We hold monthly shows featuring local community leaders and other men and women in business. We engage our guests in conversational style in-depth interviews. They share their advice on topics such as mentoring, keys to success, time management tools, personal mantras and favorite inspirations, and what men can do to help support women in business.
  • Membership in Powerful Women of the Gulf Coast is also available.

The work of Women in Technology has an incredible impact.
Since 1992, Women in Technology has had a mission dedicated to promoting the advancement of women in Georgia’s technology community. Through the WIT COMMUNITY, WIT also educates and encourages girls and young women to pursue careers in STEAM.

Through recruiting, David McCollum (the Senior Account Manager at Alliance of Computer Professionals) discovered a definite passion for not only providing corporations with the best talent available, but more importantly building relationships with people and aiding them in their pursuit for career development/progression. This discovery led to Career Coaching.

As a senior talent acquisition and talent development leader with corporate, agency, contingency, and RPO recruiting and management experience, he is adept developing effective recruiting strategies that incorporate social media communication and networking, conducting hiring events/job fairs, accessing and developing relationships within associations that promote diversity and inclusion, college internship talent pool accrual, internal employee referral programs, executive and mid level management professional association referral programs, and judicial use of career and job boards.

In organizational leadership, teams know where they stand with him and he knows where he stands with his team through consistent transparent communication. His teams use consultative communication to aid hiring managers and collaborate with human resources business partners to accomplish the goal of acquiring highly viable candidates, treating them respectfully as a person, and aiding the organization’s business.

He believes everyone was created for a purpose and if he can be of any assistance in developing or shedding even a glimpse of light to enable someone to grasp their purpose then he is giving maximum effort!
