MIND MONEY MOTION The Caregiver’s Caregiver Dave Nassaney and Vicki McAllister with SAGA

Caregivers are at an increased risk for declining health, depression, and isolation. As a caregiver himself, Dave Nassaney shared advice for caregivers using his C.A.R.E.R acronym. And as one who trains and counsels families and caregivers, Vicki McAllister shared tips for families on interacting with both the caregiver and the one receiving the care.

Statistics indicate that we will all be touched by caregiving at some point in our lives, either we: have been a caregiver, currently are a caregiver, will be a caregiver, will receive care OR will know someone who is a caregiver. Tune in to this podcast discussion to better understand and prepare for your future role, whatever that may be.

David-NassaneySince 2008, Dave Nassaney realized that he needed to start “something” to help caregivers NOT have to go through the hell that that he went through as an overwhelmed and burned out caregiver.

And so, “Dave, The Caregiver’s Caregiver” was born. It took many different forms before morphing into what it is today. First, it started out with a membership website, then a reality show trailer that Dave produced and tried to pitch to TV producers.

After he had no takers, but was told by several people that it would make a good documentary, he shelved it.

Next, he wrote a book about his life to encourage caregivers that if he could not just survive caregiving, but thrive, anyone can. He then became an Amazon Best-selling author, and is currently writing his 4th book. JumbotronPicDaveNassaney2336x1832

Next came his radio show. Then his speaking career was launched at The Harvard Faculty Club, and many other prestigious venues followed, sharing the stage with stars like Suzanne Somers, Martha Stewart and Ice ‘T’. He has also appeared on 28 network TV morning shows all across the country.

Currently, he met a film producer who has taken him up on his offer to produce that documentary about what it is like to be “Caregiver Dave”.

Dave is a speaker, syndicated radio host, life-coach and best-selling author of, “It’s My Life, Too! Reclaim Your Caregiver Sanity.” However, his most important role is caregiver to his lovely wife, Charlene, who suffered a massive stroke in 1996 that left her severely speech-impaired and paralyzed on the right side. A graduate of the USC Business School in 1976, he has been in the gasoline industry for 43 years, and the specialty coffee industry for 15 years.

Mitch has represented small startup companies to large corporate clients who are seeking the optimal property for their needs. Titan Restoration with Rachel Stewart and Russ Palmer

Titan-RestorationTitan Restoration is a full-service property restoration company, skilled in both commercial and residential restoration. They have been helping owners restore their property after a water, fire, or storm loss for over 20 years. And they are the very best at what they do.

Specializing in large and complex projects, they have the ability to mobilize quickly, utilize necessary resources, and restore properties effectively, to minimize the disruption and downtime that owners experience.

Recognized as thought leaders in the industry, Titan’s knowledge, and expertise is their biggest differentiator. Projects are handled quickly, efficiently, and result in a superior customer experience. They take pride in delivering on their brand promise of speed, simplicity, and quality.

Rachel-Stewart-on-Phoenix-Business-RadioXRachel Stewart started as an unqualified office manager, but over the last decade has worked to become the Executive Vice President of Titan Restoration of Arizona, helping to build operations from $2M to $22M, with a primary focus on accountability, profitability and company culture.

Rachel became the co-founder and CEO of a software company, Xcelerate, in 2018, focused on getting contractors the technology tools they need to do their work more efficiently.

Rachel is the author of Unqualified Success: Bridging the Gap from Where you are Today to Where you Want to be to Achieve Massive Success. Throughout she shares the tools that aided to her success, in a practical and engaging way. Unqualified Success has been described as the complete guide and answer to combat imposter syndrome as well as other issues that prevent people from engaging fully in their dreams. Over the years, Rachel has learned that the only limitations to her success are in her own mind, and she is passionate about helping others to recognize this important truth.

Rachel lives in Mesa, Arizona with her husband and four brilliant children. She volunteers actively in her community. When she’s not building her company, improving her industry, being interviewed as a guest on podcasts or radio shows, or writing books, she might be found on a long run through the desert trails near her home.

Connect with Rachel on LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.

Russ-Palmer-on-Phoenix-Business-RadioXRuss Palmer began his entrepreneurial journey when he started a carpet cleaning business in 1994 out of a rusty, old white van. It was through this modest one-man show that he was first introduced to the water damage restoration industry. Second to his wife, he had found his true love.

Focusing on restoration and learning everything he could about mold and moisture, he grew this into a small water restoration business and developed a glowing reputation, and by 2005 he started Titan Restoration, a full-service, highly-regarded restoration company with a reputation for excellence.

Russ has always had his eye on the big picture.  He has a great business mind and can see the trends on the horizon while having a firm understanding of the ins and outs and the players in the restoration industry.  It was obvious the discrepancy between the tech he had and the tech he needed was only growing bigger, creating concerns about the productivity and profitability of his company in the future. To solve his own problem, and help level the playing field for contractors throughout the industry, he formed a team to create Xcelerate, a job management software for contractors.  Focused unwaveringly on efficiency, profitability, and accountability, his vision for truly innovative software has become a reality.

De Novo Scan, Clinical Thermography, founded and opened in May 2012, was created based on the need for a safe option for breast and overall health screening. We provide radiation-free, non-invasive, zero-touch thermal scans for the breasts and lymph, upper body, and full body, as well as spot views.

Thermal imaging, FDA approved in 1982, is an unsurpassed, safe and non-invasive screening technique that can detect signs of inflammation and/or problem areas. Inflammation and other conditions can immediately be detected, such as lymphatic congestion, thyroid issues and even some periodontal issues that may go unnoticed by x-rays.

We serve the entire Phoenix, AZ metro area including Phoenix, Scottsdale, Mesa, and Chandler, with offices in Scottsdale and Mesa. We also offer mobile imaging service where we will go to doctors’ offices and provide our thermal imaging services there.

TinaClemmons-ThermographyIITina Clemmons, President and Founder of De Novo Scan, LLC,  has always had an interest in the health industry in several capacities. Being around her grandparents’ Kentucky farm for most of her childhood played a large role in her interest in nutrition and how food affects our body’s health. She went on to school to become a Registered Dietitian. While working in a hospital and a couple of nursing homes, she decided that that kind of medical environment wasn’t playing to her heartstrings.

After a great career for over 5 years as Vice President of Equipment Financing for a now $25B company and over 10 years overall experience in the medical equipment finance industry, she turned back to the “healthcare” arena by starting her own thermal imaging company.

Combining her studies in sciences such as anatomy & physiology, microbiology & biochemistry with her expertise in nutrition and food science and experience in working with doctors and healthcare facilities, she understands what is good and what is bad for our bodies and will assist you in working through the recommendations provided by your thermal imaging results. She is dedicated to helping you feel your very best.

Her company, De Novo Scan, Clinical Thermography offer women (and men) the option of radiation-free, pain-free breast and body imaging. “Thermography is the ONLY non-invasive risk assessment tool available today,” says Clemmons.

Tina loves golfing, hiking, Amazon shopping, traveling outside the U.S. and loving on her dog, Jaz, in her down time.
