Jacqueline-Destremps-with-Kristel-Nielsen-of-Your-Art-Your-Story-on-Business-RadioXKristel Nielsen is Founder of Your Art Your Story and a suicide loss survivor. After her son’s death, she saw a lack of support in the community for people affected by suicide and mental illness, so she entered a pitch completion at ASU and won start up funding for the project. She recently graduated from ASU with a Master’s in Legal Studies and has been an intellectual property paralegal and certified Arizona legal document preparer for over 10 years. Kristel helps people draft their wills and powers of attorney documents.

Jacqueline-Destremps-with-Tess-Mosko-Scherer-of-Arizona-Artists-Guild-on-Phoenix-Business-RadioXThere is an intimate quality to Tess Mosko Scherer’s work which is revealed when experienced up close. Subtle detail, texture, and often words, are found in the compositions of simplified forms and color. She works with water color, pastels, colored pencils and graphite on paper, which is often incised and torn. The torn pieces are sewn together with waxed Irish linen thread to convey complex and universal themes. Mosko Scherer visually excavates human emotions and archetypal energies in her minimalistic compositions. She explores the imbalances between the complex machinations of our inner world and the outer world in which we are seen. “My life would be meaningless if I could not create and use my gifts to benefit others’ lives. Every day I am learning, waking, opening to what is – in nature and in my studio,” she said. “I am grateful for the unexpected turns in the path of this journey called life. I see life’s imbalances as an invitation to continually transform and grow as an artist, woman, mentor and friend.”

Mosko Scherer has a diverse background in the arts. She co-founded Scherer Gallery in 1983 representing international contemporary artists specializing in glass art until 2006. Since 2012, she has served on the board of the Arizona Artists Guild currently as President. In 2016 was named one of the ‘100 Creatives’ by the Phoenix New Times, was the Artistic Director of Shemer Art Center and Museum, is a member and co-president of eye lounge collective gallery. In addition to her studio practice, Mosko Scherer has a private practice coaching and mentoring artists. Mosko Scherer is the Director of Curriculum and Facilitation, a program facilitator, and serves on the advisory board of the World Academy for the Future of Woman. She is a member of several art organizations including the Sonoran Arts League, Art Link and Art Intersection. Exhibited nationally, her work is represented in Arizona by Van Gogh’s Ear Gallery, Prescott, and has won several awards in juried shows in Arizona.

“Set your life on fire, seek those who fan your flames”.

This fitness program develops all ten areas of physical fitness using functional movements that are constantly varied and performed at high intensity. We combine weight lifting, cardiovascular wildfireblackCFnophxendurance, body weight movements, and flexibility in a professionally coached program that produces results, never gets boring, and creates a strong community of people who work together to improve their lives through fitness. The workouts and exercises can be infinitely scaled to fit whatever fitness level each person may be or even to accommodate an injury concern. The environment produces results in areas beyond what we typically think of in fitness such as increased confidence, teamwork, positive attitude, stress relief, productivity and more.

WildFire CrossFit’s programs include: CrossFit, WildFire Weightlifting Club, Endurance, Gymnastics, CrossFit Kids & Teens (ages 5-17), WildFire Nutrition, Competition Classes, WildFire Boot Camp, Personal Training, and currently the Off Ice Training for the Pinnacle Hockey Club.

WildFire CrossFit is the spark that ignites life into those it touches. Through fitness, nutrition and/or the positive influence of its community.

Tiffany DivelbillAs a Justice Studies major at ASU, fitness and nutrition wasn’t exactly a huge priority for Tiffany Divelbiss. She discovered it after she got a job at a weight loss clinic in Scottsdale. She found she had a passion for helping people. She understood how challenging losing weight could be and was able to help people by developing specific plans of action that would hold them accountable and produce results.

In 2008, Tiffany rented an office in a Wellness center to start her own Nutrition Consulting business. The personal trainer at the center started offering CrossFit classes and she started training with them as a compliment to her own nutrition program. It wasn’t long before she began coaching fitness in addition to her nutrition consulting and became a Level 1 CrossFit trainer. She helped to launch CrossFit Scottsdale, one of the first CrossFit affiliates in the area, and for the next few years coached adults, ran the gym and the nutrition program, and even started a CrossFit program for kids.

Tiffany’s mission in life has always been to help people be their best selves. She understands that by helping people to focus on fitness and nutrition, they will have the building blocks for a strong foundation of living their best life. Coaching people to find and build that strong foundation has become more than just a passion for Tiffany, it is a way of life.

In October of 2012, Tiffany and her husband, Skip, started WildFire CrossFit in North Phoenix where they are celebrating their 6-year anniversary next month. They have built a fitness community where everyone is welcome. They believe that everyone, no matter what their fitness background, deserves the help they need to live their best life, and that’s what they provide.

THINK FIT-GET FIT-STAY FIT Kyle McInstosh with MAC6 and Brian Mohr with Conscious Capitalism Arizona

Our first show is in the books for “Think Fit, Get Fit, Stay Fit”, hosted by Scott Marsh, sponsored by Mind and Body Strengthening, and his guests Kyle McIntosh with MAC6 and Brian Mohr from the AZ Chapter Conscious Capitalism.

We found out great background information on how each of them came to be in their current positions and how wellness plays an important role in all they do. Discussing their thoughts and experiences with corporate wellness programs, and the benefits to their employees, including the companies ROI. We shared the concern for obesity, including childhood obesity and the lack of physical education/activity today in schools.

Lastly we discussed how health and wellness fall under the four Conscious Capitalism tenets, 1) Higher Purpose 2) Stakeholder Orientation 3) Conscious Leadership 4) Conscious Culture.

This segment of “Think Fit, Get Fit, Stay Fit” is for anyone interested in learning more about Conscious Capitalism and what it means, what MAC6 to offer, especially in the health and fitness areas. MAC6 has a gym that anyone working in their work-space has access to with an on site Personal Trainer.

One of the main key points in a company wellness program, is that its success starts with its leaders at the top.  If a company is considering incorporating a wellness program and is looking for an example, MAC6 has done a wonderful job of making it part of their culture.

Kyle-McIntosh-with-MAC6-Communities-on-Phoenix-Business-RadioXWith a background in marketing, in various for profit and not for profit companies, Kyle McIntosh wondered, “How can I pair the passion and commitment to community progress of a non-profit with the sustainability and reach of a for profit company?” From this question and perspective a mission evolved to tear down the false distinction between the two sectors and to promote companies with Conscious Capitalism® business models through MAC6.

Kyle is the President and Creative Excitant of MAC6.  Day to day, his main operational role is on the “spaces” side of the business, focusing on creating thriving communities in the commercial office buildings, the co-working space, and the co-manufacturing space.  The other role that he plays is that of EOS implementer, working with clients to bring the Entrepreneurial Operating System, from the book Traction® to their businesses.  Additionally, he sits on the boards of Conscious Capitalism Arizona, telling the stories of good businesses in Arizona, and The Tempe Chamber of Commerce, sustaining Tempe’s quality of life and keeping our community and economy vibrant.

Kyle loves Arizona and wants to see us all collectively find great success based on the awesome things that are happening here every day.

Brian-Mohr-with-Conscious-Capitalism-Arizona-on-Phoenix-Business-RadioXBrian Mohr’s career-to-date has been a learning-based journey with an intense focus on people, purpose, values, culture, leadership, and advocating capitalism as a force for good. Brian was a founding member of Jobing.com, one of the original online job boards, which he helped grow to over 350 employees and $38M in revenue over an 11-year period. He later became director of talent strategy & acquisition for P.F. Chang’s China Bistro and Pei Wei Asian Diner restaurants before joining forces with his co-founder, Max Hansen, to create the first purpose-based leadership search firm, Y Scouts, in 2012. In the summer of 2018, Brian doubled down on his commitment to leveraging business as a powerful force for good and joined the Arizona Chapter of Conscious Capitalism as its first President. Together with Scott McIntosh, Founder & Chairman of the Arizona Chapter of Conscious Capitalism, Brian is focused on helping the Arizona business community practice capitalism with both a long-term view and a stakeholder-centric orientation; a model of business that creates prosperity for all.

Brian is on the Global Board of Trustees of Conscious Capitalism, Inc., a member of the Board of Directors of the Better Business Bureau of the Pacific Southwest, and anticipating the launch of his first book, “Hiring on Purpose – How the Y Scouts Method is Revolutionizing the Search for Leaders”. Brian’s most important and cherished responsibilities are being the lucky father to his 2 daughters, Taylor and Riley, and the proud husband to his wife, Jackie. In his spare time, you’ll find Brian practicing guitar and enjoying an occasional game of Texas Hold ’em Poker.

Child-Parent Centers, Inc. (CPC) is a community-based, not-for-profit corporation incorporated in 1967. CPC is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors and a Head Start Parent Policy CPClogoCouncil that consists of enrolled parents. Its primary purpose as the Head Start and Early Head Start grantee for southeastern Arizona is to provide comprehensive early childhood, health and nutrition, and family development services to low income families with children birth to age five. CPC has successfully implemented Head Start and Early Head Start services for over 50 years. With an annual operating budget of over 28 million dollars, 560 employees, and services provided to more than 2,800 young children, CPC has an established reputation in the local and national early childhood community as an organization that places excellence at the forefront of all of its work.

Head Start, first launched in 1965, was designed to be a comprehensive school readiness program addressing the emotional, social, health, nutritional, and educational needs of preschoolers from low-income families. A program created as part of Lyndon B. Johnson’s War on Poverty, Head Start has now grown to serve infants, toddlers, and pregnant women in addition to preschoolers, and is a nationally recognized, dual-generation approach to ending the cycle of poverty.

There are three programmatic components of CPC’s efforts: school readiness, health, and family engagement. Health services include ensuring that children are up to date on medical screenings and immunizations, are connected to health insurance and a medical home, have a dental home and dental exams, and ensuring parents have information related to healthy eating and nutrition and the importance of physical activity for their children. CPC provides these services throughout five counties in Southern Arizona, including Pima, Cochise, Graham, Greenlee, and Santa Cruz, and serves rural and urban areas including Tucson, Marana, Nogales, Rio Rico, Safford, Pima, Duncan, Bisbee, Willcox, Benson, Catalina, Sierra Vista, Douglas and Ajo

Erin-Lyons-with-Child-Parent-Center-on-Business-RadioXErin Lyons joined Child-Parent Centers in October 2014 as its CEO. She possesses a diverse combination of professional experience ranging from classroom teaching to management of adolescent residential facilities and organizational and community development activities. Her most recent tenure was as Senior Regional Director with First Things First, Arizona’s statewide early childhood initiative. In this position, she worked with local Regional Partnership Councils in Pima and Santa Cruz Counties as well as the tribal communities of Pascua Yaqui and the Tohono O’odham Nation. Her work involved oversight of the planning and implementation of annual budgets that infused nearly $100 million dollars in grants and contracts for early childhood and family education services throughout the Southeast area of the state between 2009-2014.

Lyons has also established a presence in the non-profit sector in the Tucson community and has experience both as a direct service provider and senior administrator as well as a volunteer. In addition to programmatic knowledge in the fields of education, child welfare, and behavioral health, she has a breadth of experience in establishing community partnerships, strategic planning, budgeting, quality assurance and compliance activities, and various aspects of employee and organizational development. She has also been affiliated with a number of community entities such as COPE Community Services, the Behavioral Health Coalition of Southern Arizona, United Way of Tucson and Southern Arizona’s First Focus on Kids Impact Council, and the Southern Arizona Association for the Education of Young Children.

Lyons began her career as a teacher and kicked off her classroom experience with preschool students at Marva Collins’ Westside Preparatory School on the west side of Chicago. She eventually taught at various grade levels ranging from first  grade through high school. As an undergraduate, she attended Yale University and then Northwestern University where she completed a Bachelor of Science in Education. She is also a proud University of Arizona Wildcat and earned her Master of Public Administration at the Eller College. While pursuing a double major in bioinformatics and medical physics, Joli Love needed to find a way to provide for my daughter and I. Having a full time job, while going to school full time wasn’t something that worked for me, so I needed to find a source of income that would work with my 16 credit school schedule. I’ve always wanted to start an online boutique, but didn’t know where to start. After months of doing research, I was able to find the perfect vendors for hair extensions, eyelashes, apparel, and the information I needed to make sure my business succeeds and looks the way I need it to. Finally, after I got all the resources I needed I was able to start Crowned Boutique.

Dioly Alexandre with BlackShield Sentinel and Todd Davis with Ideaology Consulting Group

In today’s technology-driven world, innovation moves much faster than the security that protects it. Cybersecurity has now become more of a critical subject than ever. With that being Said, few Blackshield logocompanies understand what it truly entails and many of the self-proclaimed “IT Security” companies have very little to no understanding of the modern threats facing this industry. BlackShield Sentinel comes into this industry with a very strong advantage.. the company was started by Hackers and those with the same mindset. BlackShield is concerned about not just how to protect the business from bad hackers getting in, but also what happens after those hackers get into your network. BlackShield originally began with an emphasis on small to medium businesses, but their expertise and advanced strategies have also attracted city and government organizations. With some of the highest profit projections in the industry, BlackShield is the innovative and impactful Cyber Warfare company you’ve never heard of.

Dioly-Alexandre-with-BlackShield-Sentinel-on-Business-RadioXIf Mark Zuckerberg had chosen to hack a network instead of rate college girls in his dorms, his name would be Dioly Alexandre. An immigrant born in the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere of Haiti, Dioly immigrated to the United States at the age of five and lived in one of the highest crime rate areas in the United States. From a young age he possessed an entrepreneurial mindset and a determination to overcome the overwhelming statistics around him. He did so by starting his first business at the age of seven selling artwork to tourists in the markets of Charleston, South Carolina. With the cultural difference of a new country, Dioly had a growing interest in computers due to a lack of friends and very little family. As he states, “Computers brought me to exploration, which led me to gaming. Gaming led to graphic design, which led to coding, which ultimately led to hacking simply because I wanted to know more and more about everything”.

After discovering the world of hacking, Dioly practiced many of his new found skills on his own school system, infiltrating library networks and district servers as his skills and tactics became more advance. After gaining some recognition among peers but never directly being caught due to lack of proof he did the acts, his skills landed him a job at the largest electronic retailer in the world at 16 years old. By the age of seventeen Dioly was working for the largest restaurant chain in the world, and after several years as a Naval Sea Cadet through high school, Dioly graduated to work for the largest department of criminal justice in the country at 18 years old.

After doing many short term contracts for Fortune 500, Fortune 100, government, and small to medium businesses alike, Dioly decided it was time to launch the company which would utilize the skills he had learned over the years to protect small to medium businesses in Arizona, and eventually across the country. Now at the age of 20 years old, Dioly heads BlackShield Sentinel Corporation, a fast growing cyber security company located in northern Scottsdale which specializes in small to medium business cyber security. His whole concept of operation is to go well beyond the antivirus and firewall standard of the industry. His favorite motto’s which moves his company forward are, “Not all Hackers wear Hoodies”, “Technology can’t stop people, it takes people to do that” and “Information is Power”.

Dioly also leads a non profit corporation named BlackShark, which aims to serve underserved and minority youth within our communities across Phoenix by providing the education and resources they need to enter the IT field out of high school. The Motto of BlackShark is “Competition, Innovation, Future”. In his own words Dioly states, “Competition is the only fuel required to push Innovation into the ever moving Future.” Alexandre shows just how much his passion for security and information assurance has brought him this far, and as he and many would agree, there is a long and bright road ahead of him.
