Jeff Pyle has coached the previous six seasons with the Atlanta Gladiators, but now takes over a new role as the Director of Hockey Operations for the club. Prior to re-joining Atlanta, Pyle spent several seasons in various leagues including a one-year stint as the head coach of the Texas Stars of the American Hockey League.
Overall, Pyle served 17 years as a head coach including 13 seasons with the Mobile Mysticks/Gwinnett Gladiators organization where he accumulated 436 wins. Pyle’s best season with the Gladiators was 2005-06 when he led the team to 50 wins and a club-record 107 points. The Gladiators went on to win the American Conference championship en route to their first and only Kelly Cup Finals appearance, eventually losing to the top-seeded Alaska Aces in five games.
