Jeremy Duvall is the founder of 7Factor Software, a custom DevOps and cloud-based systems and software company that builds from the beginning for stability, security, and scalability for large, tech-savvy corporations and growth-stage startups with high growth potential.
Jeremy is a software craftsman with more than a decade of experience building and advising others on how to build rugged, performant, and beautiful software in nearly every industry. Jeremy founded 7Factor in 2017 with a commitment to build a smart, flexible, human-centric team of experienced software architects, engineers, and developers who obsess about quality and will give clients honest, expert advice.
Now a team of 21, 7Factor Software works with leading global organizations and high-growth startups such as Delta Airlines, Cox Automotive, iVita Financial, Aveanna Healthcare, and many others.
Jeremy is a frequent speaker, writer, and engineering advisor to executives and engineers across the United States, focused on subjects such as effective technical leadership, continuous delivery implementations, and solving business problems with scalable, distributed cloud architectures.
He is committed to ensuring the software engineering field is held to consistently high standards and advocates shifting quality and ownership as far left as possible through light, scalable processes and rigorous engineering discipline.
Jeremy and 7Factor Software are also dedicated to giving back to the developer community through a contribution to a Georgia Tech scholarship that helps underserved students and by hosting regular events to help developers grow their careers. 7Factor also supports Camp Horizon’s annual Foster the Funk event – benefiting Atlanta’s foster youth – and 48in48 – a hackathon-style event that produces new websites for 48 non-profits in 48 hours.
Hailing from a small town in north Georgia, he migrated south to Atlanta to seek a BS and MS in computer science from Georgia Tech (go Jackets) and has since adopted Sandy Springs as his hometown, where he resides with his wife and Weimaraner.
In his spare time he’s often found playing guitar and covering his favorite bands (Foo Fighters, Zeppelin, and Floyd, to name a few) with his best friends.
