Today Amy hosted our first ever barbeque (or is it BBQ or maybe bar-b-q) special.
We led off with Bob Herndon President of Atlanta Bar-B-Q Festival. This festival just keeps getting bigger and better. It is going to be held at Atlantic Station on Sept 30-Oct 1. You can compete or you can just eat. This is a great family event with live music and the best bbq in Atlanta.
Benji Hollis with the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game also joined us. He told us about the Kickoff Game that has Georgia playing Boise State. Sure the game will be great but there is a ton of pre-game tailgating and partying that you don’t want to miss.
Then Lou West educated us about the Big Green Egg. The BGE is the only smoker that true barbeque fanatics use. This ceramic cooker can make every meat taste its best.
Speaking of meat we got to hang out with Robb Dillon from NY Butcher Shoppe. Robb gave us an education when it comes to the different grades of meat and why his butcher shop is the best in town.
And we closed the show with Kyle Vaughn Boss Hawg at Hottie Hawg’s Smokin’ BBQ.
This is not one of those cookie cutter strip mall barbeque restaurants. Kyle made sure this places is the real deal – he’s got the best barbeque in the Smyrna Vinings area and definitely the best ambiance. From great looking waitresses to the live music and trivia nights this place is making a name for itself.
