As Managing Partner of Gateway Ventures, Mack Reese brings 35+ years of residential and commercial real estate expertise developing over 3,000,000 square feet of office, research, retail, and multi-family projects with a diversity of financing and ownership structures; including taxable and tax-exempt bond financing structures, traditional construction financing with internal and limited partnership equity and term bank loans, and permanent financing via insurance companies and CMBS structures.
As developer and investor, Reese has initiated thoughtfully designed and uniquely financed, pioneering urban developments; including Technology Square in Atlanta where he and his partners developed one million square feet of office, research, residential and retail space adjacent to Georgia Tech’s campus and, most recently, the WestEdge project in Charleston where he and his partners have over 1 million square feet of mixed use space currently under construction.
Reese graduated from Georgia Tech with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Management, followed by a Master of Science in Management. A member of the Georgia Tech Track & Field Team, he was a scholarship athlete as both an undergraduate and graduate student. He is involved in various organizations, including the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame Foundation, First United Methodist Church Foundation and the Planning Commission of the City of LaGrange, GA.
