This week we welcomed our guests Karen T. LaMarsh of Clayton State University and Jacquelyn Willis-Walker an Educational Program Specialist at Georgia State University.
Our topic this week was the importance of life-long learning through continuing and professional education, the programs offered by their organizations and their ideal clients. Our guests also shared programs and opportunities for local Veterans.

Karen holds an engineering degree from Georgia Tech and a Masters in Adult Education fromthe University of Georgia. Her experience includes eight years with the College of Continuing and Professional Education at Kennesaw State University. Most recently, she was an internal auditor for the Board of Regents with the University System of Georgia.
She is currently the Director of Professional Development and Training with Clayton State University Center for Continuing Education. In addition, she holds the position of President for the Georgia Adult Education Association. As a Commissioner for the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET), Karen is the Chairman of the Commission Executive Committee and sits on the IACET Board of Directors. Senior Administrative Coordinator
Jacquelyn is responsible for recruiting and encouraging adults to attend college, especially our Veterans. In addition, she teaches English as a second language in Gwinnett and coaches and consults with home school parents on how to prepare their kids for college. Prior to this Karen was employed as a Forensic Toxicologist & Medical Technologist for over 7 years.
