Hollis Callaway was raised in rural Harris County where he learned to build terrifying rope swings and resist the temptation to scratch bug bites. Eager to learn about the world, Hollis left home to attend Episcopal High School in Alexandria, Virginia. There he learned to chew tobacco, tie a tie, and diagram sentences. College took him to idyllic Rollins College in Winter Park Florida to study business. After graduation, Hollis moved to Atlanta where he held positions in politics, sales, and finance. Politics taught him that candor is the most effective persuasion. Sales taught him humility. Finance taught him that pursuing your passion is more important than money. Whether drinking, swimming, or paddling, Hollis has been addicted to water since birth.
