Lee Kantor: [00:00:05] Welcome to Jill Heineck’s Tactical Tips For Selling Your House In Today’s Environment. I’m Lee Kantor. Jill, today’s question is, how much time do I need to prep my home for market?
Jill Heineck: [00:00:15] Typically, it’s a two to four week prep time. But with the current environment that we’re in, sometimes it’s taking a little longer, particularly, when we can’t have as many contractors helping us prep. At the same time, we have to spread out the timing for having work done on a property. So, for example, if you’re having repairs done, there might be two or three different contractors that are involved in that if you’re having paint and carpet done, if you’re having staging done. So, it does take a little bit longer now during the COVID environment we’re in. But I would say as a rule, most motivated sellers will want to get their prep work done within two to four weeks of signing a listing agreement.
