On today’s show Dr Fitness and the Fat Guy had on Steve Gross from Life is Good. Steve is a pioneer in using exuberant, joyful play to promote resiliency in children and a leader in the field of psychological trauma response. He is committed to the healthy development of children facing the most difficult circumstances. Steve started Project Joy in order to help spread the power of optimism and joy to Boston’s poorest children. He thinks that in order to change the way we see the world we have to make every environment more playful. After awhile he joined forces with his childhood friends at Life is Good. Today Steve is the Chief Playmaker at Life is Good and runs this part of their non-profit foundation. Steve explained that their mission is to support and provide training and resources for all the people who help and care for kids. He wants to make sure we appreciate and celebrate them.
