In today’s Wellness Minute Dr Fitness and the Fat Guy share a favorite fruit and nut salad recipe. We love adding fruit and nuts into our salads. Number one because it is delicious and number two it is because it helps us get in our proper servings of fruit and protein. You start this rock star salad with some baby spinach as the base then add your favorite fruits like strawberries, mangoes, or oranges. now add some nuts like pecans, walnuts or almonds – don’t go too nuts with the nuts because they have a lot of calories. Now add more veggies like olives, mushrooms or hearts of palm. Add dressing if you’d like – maybe a nice balsamic vinegar or go commando – without dressing. Listen right now to hear Dr Fitness’ tips.
