If you are going to be driving all day – it is a good idea to get some exercise in beforehand – because once you’re in that car you won’t be burning many calories. Prepare lots of healthy snacks to eat in the car in order to prevent trips through the drive through or be tempted by all the unhealthy food choices there are on the road. Healthy snacks like sandwiches, wraps and veggies and fruit you can eat with your hands without making a mess work great. If you’re traveling by plane be sure to bring some trail mix or energy bar that you can keep on you in case there is a flight delay.
