Before you begin any weight loss program you have to see where you are at today. There are lots of body measurement tools that can help you. The Fat Guy uses his jeans – the jeans don’t lie. Loose jeans mean you are losing weight. Some people like using BMI – you can find that BMI calculator pretty much everywhere. Other people like to use waist circumference – or belt size. Just take a measuring tape and put it around your waist at the level of your belly button to get your waist size. Other tools are percent body fat or lean body mass.
