Dr. Randy Durbin grew up in rural western Kentucky and obtained an undergraduate degree from Emory University in economics beginning his career in the banking industry. Later his interest in healthcare led him back to Emory to obtain a Master Degree in Public Health specializing in Epidemiology. For the next ten years Dr. Durbin worked for the Center for Disease Control (CDC) in various fields including cancer research and bioterrorism. In 2007 Dr. Durbin’s desire to work one on one with people led him to obtain his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the University of Pikeville, Kentucky. In 2011, after a surgical internship and residency in Otolaryngology/Head/ Neck/Facial & Plastic Surgery, he relocated and opened his practice in Suwanee, Georgia.
Dr. Durbin’s practice is strategically located in Suwanee because the area “provides a good mix of people – young families, established neighborhoods and folks looking to retire there”. This strategy fits nicely into his philosophy of “keeping people healthy until they die” through life style management, wellness practices and the treatment of acute and/or chronic disorders. Currently less than 15% of seniors get an annual wellness checkup. Dr. Durbin stresses that all seniors should be getting an extensive annual evaluation focused on the “whole body approach”. “This commitment is the driving force behind our personalized service with longer appointment times, dedicated to addressing pressing problems”. With over 16 years of experience in healthcare, public health and health informatics, Dr. Durbin and his staff are well equipped to keep you healthy until the day you die!
If this focus on a “whole body approach” for you, or your aging loved one, is of interest, Dr. Durbin’s invites you to contact him at 706-216-7188 or visit his web site at www.drrandydurbin.com.
