Jennifer Nikiforyan, Community Liaison and Owner, for Atlanta Family Hospice says that she didn’t choose the eldercare profession, “it chose her”. After relocating from Canada, and a personal experience with a family member, her parents opened a small personal care home in Lawrenceville, GA. An outgrowth of her church, New Hope Care Home is where Jennifer came to appreciate the satisfaction of serving the elderly. It was this “satisfaction” that led her to open Atlanta Family Hospice in June of 2015.
Though new to Atlanta, the parent company of Atlanta Family Hospice has plenty of experience in the hospice arena. With locations in Oregon, Arizona, Texas and now Georgia, the principals know what’s important to those individuals seeking hospice care. “When asked, most patients say they would like to spend their final days in a place they call home and surrounded by people they love. “ Atlanta Family Hospice is dedicated to dignity and comfort for the patient and family in their delivery of care. “We want the client to choose where they want to be, who they want to be with, and how they want to spend their time”; educating clients that “hospice is a natural step in the care continuum”.
