EMILIE HEATHE’s founder, Emily H. Rudman, is a Korean adopted at a young age by American parents living in New York. As an Asian-American growing up in the states, she found it challenging to identify with the women photographed in fashion and beauty ad campaigns. She believes that beauty shouldn’t be about looking a certain way and is pleased that this old-school concept of beauty is finally changing.
In her lifetime pursuit of crafting beauty, Ms. Rudman’s work directly reflects her relentless passion to build a platform for candid expression. She first began studying at makeup school and then worked as a makeup artist for MAC Cosmetics. She later worked in product innovation at Avon Beauty and further explored the world of beauty completing her cosmetology program at Arrojo.
While studying for her MBA at Columbia University, Ms. Rudman consulted in product development for Bobbi Brown, and in sales and digital for Briogeo Hair Care. Ms. Rudman developed Emilie Heathe as a way to express her vision of beauty that combines many facets, including sophisticated packaging and ingredients. An exultant expression of creativity from childhood comic books and games to contemporary artist collaboration.
