Emily Walton is Vice President and Co-Owner of The Excalibur Group. Emily is an expert business development specialist and highly skilled in growth strategies, having supported a broad array of nonprofit, as well as private and public sector initiatives. Clients such as EPA’s Office of Policy, Economics, and Innovation, have commended her on creative problem solving, and exceptional quality of work. She successfully served as the Program Manager of Communications for the then third largest charity in the United States, Gifts In Kind International, as well as Director of Development for the Nature Generation and the National Association for Olmsted Parks. Her experience is broad and community-based. Ms. Walton has had the honor of being invited to serve on two of the congress mandated and funded Corporation for National and Community Service peer review teams; advising on program funding for the Learn and Serve America Youth Engagement Zone and the AmeriCorps State and National Review.
With a passion for innovative solutions, professionalism, and creativity, Emily directs Excalibur’s business development. Her experience is broad and community-based. She is a nominated member of the DC’s Chancellor’s Parent Cabinet advising on city-wide education policies and programs and is active in local HUBZone advocacy. Emily’s leadership style inspires those she works with to reach beyond the compartmentalized framework of success in order to set goals and achieve desired outcomes in all aspects of life. From managing a household to multi-million dollar projects; managing a concept to a company, she demonstrates the power of balance and the importance of always recognizing and working towards meaningful outcomes.
