This life-changing experience led him to become actively involved with the Amputee Coalition, where he serves as a Certified Peer Visitor and virtual support group leader for the eastern time zone. His involvement in peer support has empowered him to assist others in finding their way back to wellness and success.
Rex has also contributed his graphic design skills to creating resource guides for people living with limb loss and runs an Etsy store, AmpuTshirts, featuring designs for the limb loss community. His journey as an amputee has added depth and empathy to his design approach, making him a unique and inspiring figure in the Atlanta design community.
