Catherine Dixon/The Intersect Group & ACG Atlanta’s VP of Membership
Catherine Dixon is regarded as an expert resource in mergers & acquisitions and corporate finance. Her relationship-based approach and deep functional knowledge give her a unique perspective with which to serve clients. To help CFOs succeed, she combines her expertise as an investment banker and CPA with her talent for clearly understanding needs and then connecting those needs with workable solutions. Her practical problem- solving skills help CIOs as they work through the critical steps of merger integrations and planning for other initiatives. Prior to joining The Intersect Group, Catherine spent 15 years at some of the country’s top industry brands, like ChoicePoint, Sun Trust Robinson Humphrey and Arthur Andersen, in a variety of roles, including mergers & acquisitions, strategic planning, business due diligence, and accounting. Catherine holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Wake Forest University and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School. Catherine is married with three children and is involved with the Association for Corporate Growth, Habitat for Humanity and Westminster Schools.
Sara O’Brien/O’Brien & Company & ACG Atlanta’s VP of Programs
Sara O’Brien is currently the President and CFO of O’Brien & Company. She is the former CFO and Director of Ops for the Dental System Group, a $500 million dollar division of Carestream Health which serves businesses in 130 countries and employs 1500 people. With revenues of more than $2.5 billion, Carestream is a leading provider of dental and medical imaging systems and healthcare IT solutions. The company was formed in 2007 when Onex Corporation purchased Eastman Kodak Company’s Health Group.
Sara has a proven track record of success in managing company P&L, tracking company performance and adjusting corporate strategies. She has collaborated in numerous transformation programs, participating in their design, development, management, and execution. Sara is known for consistently maintaining a high degree of shareholder confidence and retention by driving revenue and delivering results with directed focus on ROI.
Sara began her career in 1995 with GE where she was rapidly promoted to positions in Six Sigma Quality, Merger and Acquisitions and Corporate Finance. She is a graduate of GE’s premier training program in Financial Management. Sara holds a BSBA in Finance from UF. She earned her MBA from Emory in 2003. A leader in her community, Sara is the founder of The Executive Women of Goizueta, and currently serves on the Goizueta Alumni Board. She is the Advisory Board Chair for Crime Stoppers, and she serves on the Girls Scouts of Greater Atlanta Board and the Association of Corporate Growth Board. She is a graduate of the Leadership Atlanta Class of 2009. In 2008, she was named to the Board of Director’s Executive Leadership Honor Roll. Most notably, she is the recipient of Goizueta Business School’s 2006 Alumni of the Year Award and was profiled by the Atlanta Business Chronicle as an Up and Comer, one of Atlanta’s most promising younger leaders under 40.
