BRX Pro Tip: Remember PR Firms Transcript
Stone Payton: [00:00:01] And we are back with Business RadioX Pro Tips. Stone Payton and Lee Kantor here with you. Lee, sometimes, we find something that works so well, and then we don’t do it anymore for a while. At least, I’m guilty of that. For today’s topic, I would like to reinforce, remember your PR firms.
Lee Kantor: [00:00:20] Right. PR firms are an ally in your quest to serve the marketplace and to get new clients because companies that hire PR firms can afford to hire you and sponsor work there. And if you’re an ally to the PR firm, you can educate them to show how they can leverage your studio. And then, they can sponsor a show on behalf of their clients. So, I would recommend having regular—I would invite PR firms on shows, first of all, semi-regularly and do maybe a PR series periodically. And you invite them on to just talk about their work, number one.
Lee Kantor: [00:00:56] Number two, I would, also, periodically reach out to them and say, “Hey, remember, if you have any clients that are good for us, please send them our way.” We’re very—they should be friends with the—you should be friends with all the PR firms in your market. And then, periodically, have meetings with them to explore ways to work together where you can offer them maybe a PR firm discount, or they get like agency discounts. You charge one rate, and they get 15% agency fee for making that referral.
Lee Kantor: [00:01:27] So, it’s a way for them to make money. It’s a way for them to refer clients. You can explain to them how they can use the platform to create content because that’s one of the biggest challenges PR firms have with their clients is creating enough content for them. So, there’s lots of ways for you to work together with the PR firm, some of which is guest acquisition, but it’s also services you can provide for the PR firms.
