BRX Pro Tip: Ways BRX Can Help Your Association Generate Non Dues Revenue Transcript
Stone Payton: [00:00:02] Welcome back to BRX Pro Tips. Stone Payton and Lee Kantor here with you. Lee, let’s talk a minute about some ways that your association can generate non-dues revenue with the Business RadioX platform.
Lee Kantor: [00:00:15] Yeah, non-profits or causes, they have to generate non-dues revenue. They can’t rely solely on the dues of their members in order to survive. So, anything that they can do to get more of that is very important to them. And that’s where Business RadioX comes in. It can be a real help to them to get this non-dues revenue. One of the ways that they can get non-dues revenue working with us is they can create a sponsorship level that includes the radio show. So, if they go to their existing sponsors and say, “This year, we’re doing a radio show. And this radio show is going to be every month, every quarter, doesn’t matter the rhythm. And it’s also—they’re going to show up at our big conference at the end of the year. And you can be the official radio show sponsor. There’s only a couple of slots. And we’re going to you first because you are our biggest sponsor last year.”
Lee Kantor: [00:01:15] So, now, they can go to this sponsor. And this sponsor is now getting something that’s very valuable. It’s not just their name on a website or their name on a sign at an event. They’re getting content that’s going to be shared over and over again that their brand is going to be associated with. It’s the gift that keeps on giving. This is something that’s going to have legs well beyond the sponsorship. So, they’re going to get kind of lifetime value of this content by being a sponsor of the radio.
Lee Kantor: [00:01:43] So, this is a whole line of business that this association never had at their disposal before that they’re going to have now. And this is something that they can give it to one person as an exclusive. They can give it to a couple of people. They can have different people sponsor different parts of the radio. So, it’s a great way to create additional revenue, a line of revenue that doesn’t cost them anything that’s non-profit. They don’t have to do any of the work. All they do is get to share in the money when we’re the ones executing this on their behalf.
Stone Payton: [00:02:14] And as a studio partner, you can structure these kinds of arrangements virtually any way you want. You can do a revenue share on these events. You can do where you charge a flat fee, and you let them make all the money on the margin. You’re limited only by your creativity both in how you structure the arrangement and all of the things that you can offer these sponsors. And they don’t have this. Everything you’re going to be offering is completely new, and different, and in many cases, so much better. It is a marvelous way to genuinely contribute to that association, to the local business community and those sponsors. And it can be a marvelous service to those associations. And it could be a good revenue generator for the studio partner as well.
